validation flexfield (DFF) for the Hijri Date

Summary:

I have created a descriptive flexfield (DFF) for the Hijri Date.However, I would like to apply validation on this field and also have the Hijri calendar appear for date selection.

Currently, the system treats it as a normal text/date field without Hijri calendar support.Is there any way to enable the Hijri calendar functionality or apply validation rules specifically for Hijri date field?
