How to Integrate and send shipment details from ERP to GTM

We have a business requirement to perform compliance checks twice—once when submitting a sales order, and again before shipping.

We are implementing GTM, but do not have OTM.

From my initial understanding, the compliance check at sales order submission can be managed by adding steps in Order Management orchestration.

QUESTION: I need help understanding how to handle the compliance check before shipping.

  • Can this also be managed by adding steps in Order Management orchestration?
  • Or do we need to build a custom integration from Inventory (INV) to GTM?
