Derive Pipeline Parameters

Hi Community,

We use Pipelines to optimize our processes.

To make the process more secure, I am looking for a way to derive certain Pipeline variables from others during the pipeline variable definition.

Example: Parameter A has the default value ‘Jan-22’. Based on this, Parameter B should derive the default value ‘Jan’, and Parameter C should derive ‘FY22’ as the default value.

Is it possible to use expressions directly when defining Pipeline variables (if so, what would that look like), or can you use expressions in the parameters of a job (if so, what would they look like for the case above) to derive a substring from variable A?
