Steps to replicate the issue.

  1. Open a blank excel sheet.
  2. Merge any 2 adjust cells.
  3. Double click on the merged cell.
  4. The below message pops up.

Note - Smart View is not connected to any application yet to produce this error.

Is there a resolution or workaround for this issue.
