How to traverse in Assignment Records With Redwood Business Rules
Summary:
We need to implement an requirement regarding our secondment process. Moving forward, employees can be seconded to another position temporarily, but we must ensure that no new secondment can be initiated until the previous secondment has an end date.
For example, if an employee currently holding the position of Assistant is seconded to the position of Lead (Effective From Date: 01/Oct/2025, Action: Secondment, Action Reason: Secondment Start), we need to ensure that no further secondment actions can be initiated until this secondment has ended. Once the secondment ends and the employee returns to their original position (Effective From Date: 01/Nov/2025, Action: Secondment, Action Reason: Secondment End), the system should then allow initiating a new secondment effective from 02/Nov/2025.
