Introduction

We are reaching out to keep you informed about the changes resulting from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBB), signed into law on July 4th, 2025 and to provide you with a summary of the Interim Configuration updates that will be released. This will allow you to package awards in 26/27 prior to the Department of Education releasing final specifications.

These interim configuration changes outlined below by provision are intended to support your packaging readiness for the 26/27 aid year and ensure regulatory compliance while the Department of Education finalizes specifications for through the negotiated rulemaking process.
