Edit Completion date - course or offering level

Summary:

Hi expert,

our requirement is to change manually the completion date of some assignments. The same assignment is in the course and in the offering.

I would like to know if the completion date at the offering level is linked to the completion date at the course level. are the two values completely separate or is one of the two driving?

If I change the field on the offering should the field on the course also automatically change or should I change both fields manually?
