WMS Mobile – Browser Control Functions Conflict with Application Control Functions

Summary:

We’re running into an issue with Oracle WMS Mobile (browser version) where the application’s control functions are conflicting with native browser shortcuts.

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

For example:

  • In WMS Mobile, CTRL+F is used for Facility Change.
  • In the browser (Chrome/Edge), CTRL+F triggers the Find in Page function.

When users press CTRL+F, the browser intercepts the command and opens its own find box instead of performing the intended action within WMS Mobile.

We’d like to lock down or configure the browser so that these browser-level shortcuts are disabled or overridden, allowing only the WMS Mobile application to recognize them. But only for this application. We still need those browser shortcuts to work when not using WMS Mobile.

Howdy, Stranger!
