Need to create context-sensitive invoice line DFFs but global segments are using ATTRIBUTE1 etc

We are trying to create context-sensitive invoice line DFFs of data type Character but the Table Column field LoV is empty. Could this be because global segment invoice line DFFs were previously created using ATTRIBUTE1 etc?

If yes, does anyone know of a way to fix this?
