Feasibility Check for Using REST API to Handle High-Volume Updates to Oracle Cloud
We would like to request Oracle’s assistance in validating the feasibility and performance impact of using the REST API to handle high-volume updates in our environment. Specifically, we are assessing whether the RET API can support the following update load scenarios:
These are employee skill updates to Oracle cloud via an Inbound Integration.
Below is the high-level updates data volumes:
Baseline load: Approximately 6,250 updates per hour, assuming continuous system operation and active users across multiple time zones.
Typical peak load: Up to 26,250 updates per hour during overlapping business hours (e.g., mid-week, daytime).
Extreme peak load: Potentially exceeding 65,000 updates per hour during short-duration spikes (e.g., when a large portion of week 2’s volume occurs within 1–2 days).
