How accounting date in revenue distribution is calculated?

How accounting or GL DATE IS STAMPPED ON REVENUE DISTRIBUTIONS GENERATED BY GENERATE REVENUE PROGRAM?

We are observing currently it is picking the gl date as same as the revenue to date parameter value passed during generate revenue program submission.

Is it intended or there is any configuration to control the value?
