Wanted to understand what's the significance / purpose of Assignment Category field on the Assignment page; Whilst the purpose is served by Regular or Temporary and Full time or Part time fields ?

Also, maintaining all the three fields prone to errors while performing any assignment changes (If any field is missed or incorrectly filled). Any best practices to follow for eliminating confusion to the HR users and reduce errors.
