Does the Project Item Expenditure Date on a Sales order get updated to Actual Ship date?

Does the Project Item Expenditure Date on a Sales order get updated to Actual Ship date?

Documentation shows that the project item expenditure date on a sales order is taking from the shipping date. It looks like this is SSD (scheduled) but if we ship the order earlier than SSD we dont see a change on the expenditure item date so costs are not imported to PFM until a future date. Should EI date get updated to Actual ship date?
