Is there a maximum number of rules in these approval workflows?

We are using these 3 approval workflows for PPM module.

  1. ProjectStatusNotificationApproval
  2. ApprovePlanVersion
  3. ContractsApproval

Question:

  1. Is there a maximum number of rules for these approval workflows?
  2. For those 3 above, we are planning to set up about 1500 rules in total. Will it have impact on performance if we set up that many rules?
