VBS Defaulting Rules for Hiring Team Not Triggering on New Requisitions

Hello everyone,

I have encountered an issue with the VBS rules that default the Recruiter and Hiring Manager fields in Oracle Recruiting Cloud.

We have a VBS defaulting rule on the Hiring Manager field that sets the value to the user who creates the Job Requisition. This works correctly during initial creation.

However, when the requisition is in Draft and another user opens it, the rule fires again and overwrites the original value.

Our requirement is:

• Default the Hiring Manager only at initial creation (or only when the field is empty)
• Do not overwrite the value when reopening or editing an existing Draft
