I am not able to get an etext output without Special characters

Summary:

I am getting special characters in my etext output. I tried using UTF-8 character set, that still didnt help. I used save as encoding UTF-8 on rtf template. That didnt help either.

What else can I do?

Any help or suggestions will be useful
