Check the possibility of taking a backup of an existing instance for a later clone/refresh

Currently we are doing the latest configurations in the DEV1 instance. Once these configurations are completed, We wanted to check the possibility of taking a backup of this DEV1 existing instance for a later clone/refresh when its needed.
