User Variable not changing to shared member on form if alias' are used

Summary:

We have a form that displays the entity that is selected for a User Variable (BA) as well as it's parent. This member is shared in multiple hierarchies so to be able to get the appropriate parent I have to add the members twice to the User Variable definition…once from the primary hierarchy and once from the alternate. This way users can choose which hierarchy they want the parent to come from. This is working as expected if the user is displaying member name but if the user has chosen to display alias instead of member name,
