How to add a NOINDEX tag to legacy external career site

In recent months, we transitioned one of our external career sites from Oracle hosted to a third-party vendor. While most of the migration is complete, the legacy Oracle site still appears in search engine results when using key keywords. Our vendor recommended adding NOINDEX tags to the home page to prevent indexing by search engines.

We implemented a JavaScript-based NOINDEX tag in the site’s theme layer via Custom JavaScript, but this has not stopped the site from appearing in search results where it still ranks below directly our new career site. All previous SEO optimizations on the Oracle site have been removed, and the site was redesigned to link users to the new career site.
