Achieve setting up different cost methods based on the item category attached at the inv org

Summary:

is there a way where we can setup different cost methods based on the item category attached at the inv org (Finished Good - std costing, all other items - Avg costing), Finished Good Item will have Finished Good category associated, all other items will have the respective category setup at item level.

The costing catalog is org controlled and item attribution is taken into consideration.

Also for each inv org, we have a cost org.

Please help us in letting know if there is a way we can achieve setting different cost methods based on the above configurations details listed
