Hi All,

I attended the session on Fusion Identity and Access Management Upgrade on 12/16/2025. there was a question posted and the answer was as follows

Question: We have service accounts which use basic auth and run REST APIs. Is this upgrade going to affect those passwords?

Answer: Yes. Those might need a reset post migration. or you can reset the password pro-actively prior to migration as per your convenience

When I ask the team what's new passwords policy, the answer was Your existing Password Policy as defined in the Security Console > User Categories will be ported as is to OCI IAM
