Item Ship model complete flag

Summary:

Does the PIM Item Ship Model complete flag have any impact on the Generate Shipment Request process?

We have configured the shipping parameters for WMS & 3PL Reservation Behavior to be Partially Reserved lines.

For the parent model/PTO item the Ship Model Complete is set to No (N) in PIM

What we observed in testing is that if any of the components for the model/PTO item do not have enough inventory then the shipment requests are not released.

Also if for example the sales order is for 5 model items and there is only enough inventory for 1 kit, still no shipment requests are released for the sales order.
