How to add a model with Quick Add?

Summary: Using the Quick Add function on the Line item grid, but putting the parts under a model.

Hi,

Our current setup, all our parts go under a model. Quick Add will add without a model if one isn't already configured. Is there a way to change it so it will add the model onto the line item grid with the part?
