Remove supervisor/manager from future effective date

Please see the screen shots which is done from fusion frontend and same trying to achieve using REST API for integration but not working, can anyone check and advice how to achieve this using REST API.

STEP 1: Created Employee without manager

Effective Start Date: 2025/06/30

STEP 2: Add Manager, Effective Start Date from 2025-12-07

Save -> review -> submit

STEP3: Remove Manager from Future date, Effective Start Date: 2026-01-05

Save -> Review -> Submit

Same above steps, we are trying to do using REST API but STEP 3 Delete Manager not working, could you please check and help
