Inquiry Regarding Eloqua – Salesforce Integration App Behavior

Hello,

I would like to clarify whether the Salesforce Integration App Import in Oracle Eloqua performs updates only, or if it can also create new records under the following configuration.

Scenario:

  1. Account Import
    • Source: Salesforce Account
    • Target: Eloqua Account
    • Unique identifier: Account DUID
  2. Lead Import
    • Source: Salesforce Lead
    • Target: Eloqua Contact
    • Unique identifier: Salesforce Contact ID

Under the above setup, could you please confirm whether:

  • The Import only updates existing Eloqua records when a match is found, or
  • New Account and/or Contact records are created in Eloqua when no matching record exists?

Any clarification on the intended behavior would be greatly appreciated.
