Unable to end date Absence Type for future date also throwing an error

Unable to end date absence type in fusion absence with future effective date also

We have to change UOM hours to days for one of the floating holiday plan but does not allowing us to update it hence would like to end date this existing floating holiday plan and active the same plan by updating UOM to days. Though no future dated floating holiday absences also did not allowing to end-date the absence type.

Other than using conversion FF, to update UOM in absence type is there any other option is available.
