REST API Revisions Bypassing Custom Extensions / Business Logic
When sales orders are updated through the Order Management REST APIs, Oracle Fusion sometimes bypasses custom Order Management extensions or business logic that you have built — causing unexpected behavior in order processing, scheduling, pricing, or orchestration. This happens even though the exact same logic works correctly when the order is edited through the Fusion UI.
This means changes from external systems (e.g., e-commerce platforms, Salesforce, legacy ERPs) can slip past your critical validation or automation logic — leading to incorrect scheduling, pricing mismatches, or fulfillment errors — and there’s no built-in way to force REST API calls to respect those custom extensions consistently.
