UOM Class Setup and Packaging String Question
Summary:
We are currently reviewing client's Item Master configuration and encountered a scenario related to UOM Classes and Packaging Strings. At present, our system has only one UOM Class with a base UOM of Each (EA). This means any packaging string that does not include “Each” requires adding “Each” to populate the packaging string field.
For example:
If an item’s packaging string is BX 10/CA, the current setup would require updating it to EA 1/BX 10/CA, which seems incorrect since the Primary UOM should remain BX.
When we checked, packaging string can be defined for one class only as it is intraclass conversion and not interclass
