Hide/Remove Edit Icon for Biographical & Demographic Info for Custom HR Role Using VBS

in Visual Builder Studio for HCM

Summary:

We have a custom HR role that should have view-only access to employee personal information. However, in My Client Groups > Personal Details, the Edit icon is still visible for the following sections:

  • Biographical Info
  • Demographic Info

These details are intended to be maintained only by HR Administrators, and the custom HR role should not be able to edit this information.

Even though data security restricts updates, the presence of the Edit icon causes confusion for users and leads to unnecessary access requests and support tickets.

We would like to know:

  • Is there a way to hide or remove the Edit icon
