Searching for Journal entries/Invoices/Funds

Summary:

We recently went live with Oracle, and I am searching for alternative ways to search for Journals / invoices / transactions. We are a government agency, so we are using fund accounting.

Explanation:

For a point of comparison, I worked with Tyler Munis prior, so I am used to transactions being easily found by simply going to the account detail history and seeing a history of the transactions of the account, along with any relevant documents attached, budget amount, and how much is remaining. It was a quick snapshot of information for quick and informed decision making to make appropriate approvals to journal entries moving/updating amounts between funds/accounts.
