transfer from monthly payroll to biweekly payroll

Summary:

We are implementing Oracle Recruiting, HR, and Payroll under one legal entity. Currently, the process uses Recruiting for internal transfers. We have two payrolls: monthly and biweekly. When a monthly employee moves to a biweekly position, our payroll team advises adding a new biweekly assignment and ending the monthly assignment, instead of using a simple transfer action.

According to the payroll team, if we use a transfer, the employee record will not be picked up for payroll processing. For example, if a Teacher (monthly payroll – salary) moves to a Teaching Assistant (biweekly payroll – hourly) position on Jan 12, due to Oracle Payroll module limitations, the employee will not be paid for Jan 1–12 in case of a transfer.
