REST API via Load Balancer Invocation in OIC

I have an integration that invokes an internal REST API endpoint via load balancer (e.g., internal-api.example.com), which is hosted on backend servers with hostnames like server-prod-01.internal. The SSL certificate has a CN of server-prod-01.internal, not the load balancer FQDN. When my OIC REST adapter connects, it fails with: "hostname in certificate didn't match: internal-api.example.com != server-prod-01.internal
