Mass upload images for existing items not updating in the associated child org automatically

Summary:

We are mass uploading images against items in master org. We have noticed that the images from items from master org which have associated child orgs are not getting updated automatically. Can you please help if there is any way so that as soon as we update the images against the master item, it should automatically update into their child org.

Please note that we are currently using UCM contribution folder to upload item images in bulk.

Also, we prefer to use fusion UI(File import/Export) functionality to upload items and not through UCM folder. But as per Oracle notes, we would need VERSION_NUMBER to proceed. Is there any way to get this from UI? As per notes it looks, I have to use rest API's to get VERSION_NUMBER which business would like to avoid.
