Why I am not able to see prompts when I navigate through Reports & Analysis

I created an OTBI report in Accounts Receivable with prompts. When I access the report through Browse Catalog, the prompts appear as expected. However, when I navigate via Reports & Analysis → Shared Folder → Custom → Financials (see screenshot), the report opens directly without showing the prompts.

Is this behavior expected? Do I need to use a dashboard to ensure prompts are displayed when accessing the report this way? I created a dashboard with prompts also and it works perfect but I am not able to view prompts when I open the report from the page as shown in the scrrenshot.
