Consolidation Status Shows “Completed” When Alternate Entity Hierarchy Is Skipped

Summary:

Why does the Consolidation status show as Completed even when consolidation is skipped for an alternate entity hierarchy (see screenshot below)?

If this is the expected behavior, it appears there is no direct way to confirm - based solely on the rule or consolidation status - whether consolidation actually ran for a given alternate hierarchy. This is creating confusion for end users, who expect Completed to indicate that consolidation was executed rather than skipped.

Is there a recommended way to:

  • Clearly identify that consolidation was skipped for an alternate hierarchy, or
  • Force the process to error or warn when consolidation does not run for that hierarchy?

Howdy, Stranger!
