Consolidation run at Total Geography at the same time by 2 different users

We have a scenario where data is not correctly consolidating to the parent entity after a journal is posted in FCCS. However when that journal entry is unposted and reposted again, the consolidation picks up the data correctly.

We have noticed that 2 consolidation jobs got triggered for the same entity(Total Geography), Scenario, year and period combination by 2 different users at the same time ( 10 seconds apart) and both completed successfully as per logs.

Is it possible to run consolidations in this manner simultaneously by 2 different users?

Also, could this be a cause for data not consolidating to the parent entity correctly the first time journal was posted?
