Automated export of the data management workbench

Summary:

It's been asked before and it appears the only method to export workbench data I've found is to use a "report" in the data management interface. Unfortunately, none of the report templates available work because they are too highly formatted.

I'm looking for something that looks more like a flat file. I'd tried copying an existing report definition and editing one of the templates to try to get what i need but when i upload the template it never appears in my list of available templates to choose it.

Does anyone know how to upload modified report templates through the data management interface?
