How to keep statutory dependent field as checked by default?

We are currently in Bahrain legislation where in redwood although we don't need it, the statutory dependent field is visible. I have tried all possible ways in VBS to hide it but its not getting hidden. As per Oracle SR it is Legislative field marked as Mandatory for Bahrain legislation.

So I am now looking for ways to keep that checkbox checked by default so that users don't have to select it. I have tried with different values like "Y" and "true" in Value field in VBS but none worked.

Please help if anyone has achieved this requirement.
