Production Scheduling: Use Scheduling Buckets Based on Work Order Start Date Instead of Need-By Date

Summary:

We are using Oracle Production Scheduling with the option Use Scheduling Buckets set to 7 days. We also have Prioritize work order need-by date over demand requested date enabled. During Resoving, work orders are grouped into scheduling buckets based on their need-by date. However, our business requirement is to group work orders into buckets based on their scheduled start date, not the need-by date.

Is there a way to configure Production Scheduling so that the scheduling buckets group work orders according to their start dates rather than their need-by dates? If not, are there any workarounds or is this functionality planned for future releases?
