Duplicate PR still picks up end dated agreement line

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

Redwood PR's are raised against agreements. When an agreement is amended for example

Line 1 is end dated

Line 2 is created.

Any new PR's pick up line 2 which is correct.

Now, when an old PR (which contains line 1) is duplicated no validation takes place that Line 1 is end dated and Line 2 is the only line available.

Is there a way around this when Redwood PR's are duplicated?
