Min-Max Planning Logic Calculation

edited Jan 27, 2026 10:25PM in Inventory Management 3 comments

Summary:

We will be using Inventory Min-Max Planning in Oracle Inventory Cloud to replenish stocked items.
Our existing Min-Max levels from legacy system some low-usage items we have configured Min = 0 and Max = 1, expecting Oracle to trigger a supply request for 1 when on-hand is 0.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Define an item with Planning Method = Min-Max in Inventory.
  2. Set Min-Max quantities at subinventory: Min = 0, Max = 1.
  3. There is no on-hand and no open supply.
  4. Run the Min-Max Planning Report.

Observed behavior:

The Min-Max process does not create any replenishment suggestion or supply order. No requisition, transfer order, or movement request is generated for the item.

Howdy, Stranger!
