FAH- Ability to use Natural Account (COA segment) as input in Mapping set without source payload.

Summary:

Currently in our Oracle FAH design, Natural account is not part of the upstream payload and it is currently being dynamically derived in FAH using Mapping sets and Account Rules (for Debit/Credit). We now have a requirement to derive Cost centre (another COA segment) based on :

  • Natural Account (dynamically derived via Mapping sets and Account Rules)
  • Department (Transaction Source).
    I want to understand the following:
  1. Does FAH support using a dynamically derived COA segment (Natural Account) as an input in a mapping set or account rule to derive another segment (Cost Centre)
  2. Can this be achieved using User Defined Formulas, without adding Natural Account to the source payload?
