Is there an override to allow Project Cost transaction for end-dated person assignments

Is there an override to allow Project Cost transaction for end-dated person assignments? The business does not want to change the expenditure item date to fall within the employee assignment dates, so is an ability to override this restriction? E.g. there a profile option in Project Foundation ("Specify Number of Days to Display People with Terminated Assignments) however this profile option appears to only apply to the project, but not to project transactions.
