How to store a VBCS app parameter value after refresh page

Summary:

I have a VBCS application deployed in a PaaS tenancy (not embedded in Fusion). The application is launched from Oracle Fusion SaaS via a custom tile and expects a parameter (the Fusion username). The parameter is successfully passed to the VBCS app at launch.

The application consists of multiple pages (approximately 6–7) that are navigated sequentially. However, if the user refreshes the browser (F5) on any page, the initial parameter passed from Fusion is lost.

Is there a way to persist this parameter for the duration of the user session, or otherwise handle this scenario?
