Default DFF value from a table valueset so it auto-populates instead of appearing only as a LOV?

Hello Experts,

We have a requirement to default a value in a DFF segment using a table-based custom value set.

When we use a SQL query as the SQL Default Value for the DFF segment, the field correctly appears as an LOV and returns the expected data. However, the value is not auto-populated; it still requires manual selection from the LOV.

Could you please provide guidance on how to auto-populate the default value so that user selection is not required?
