Employee but showing external in job application view

Summary:

i hired an external candidate, therfore he is now considered an employee. When i reviewed again the job application, it is still showing as external. Is this expected? but when i view the candidate profile view, its already showing as an Employee

when i flip to candidate profile view, you can see that jennifer is an employee
