consider sales order demand or min-max quantity only in replenishment planning

Summary: is it possible to consider only sales order demand or Min-max quantity only for generating planned orders in a replenishment plan? In other words, Can we run a replenishment plan without forecast demand and with only sales order demand or min-max quantities as demand?

I tried running a replenishment plan by unchecking the ‘forecast’ checkbox in the plan parameters. But system is not allowing me to run a replenishment plan without checking this box. So is it mandatory to calculate forecasts?
