Auto-Submit and Auto-Approve of Summary Reconciliations Once All Child Accounts Are Closed

Summary:

Best Practice for Auto-Submit and Auto-Approve of Summary Reconciliations Once All Child Accounts Are Closed.

Hi All,

We are using Summary Reconciliations in ARCS and the client wants to configure a rule where:

  • Once all underlying child reconciliations are closed,
  • The Summary Reconciliation should automatically Submit and Approve.

Before implementing this, we want to ensure we follow best practices and avoid unintended consequences.

Questions:

  1. Is it considered best practice to auto-submit and auto-approve a Summary Reconciliation automatically once all its child reconciliations are closed?
  2. Does Oracle recommend having additional validation checks at the summary level (e.g., certifications, reviewer checks, custom attributes, comments) before a summary reconciliation is auto-closed?

Howdy, Stranger!
