Calculation manager: capturing user name RTP inconsistent behavior

I noticed that there is inconsistent behavior when I use a run time prompt to capture the current user name in a business rule versus a template

  • In rule: I have a RTP defined as: StringAsNumber, "use system defaults" enabled and default value set to "User Name". The ouput of the variable is the full name "Jane Doe"
  • If a run a template: I have a design time prompt of the same exact type and settings. The output is the email address instead.

The actual user name of the user is an email address so it would appear that business rule treatment is wrong and and template is right.
