Smart Search Page Template – Dialog not closing when updating badge.text /page subtitle on page load
Summary:
We are using the Smart Search Page template in a VBCS extension.
Requirement:
On page load, we launch a dialog asking the user to select a Department.
- User selects a Department from a LOV (Combo Box)
- Clicks Submit
- Dialog should close
- Selected Department should be displayed on the page (e.g., using badge.text or Page Subtitle)
- User should also be able to change the selected Department later
Issue:
When we set any Smart Search page property (for example badge.text or Page Subtitle) in the same flow where we close the dialog:
- Dialog does not actually close
- Page loses focus
